The workshop
A table begins long before a plate arrives. Timber holds the warmth of a room. Cloth softens its edges. The smallest object can give the evening a shape.
Threadroom is a fictional material study. We draw rooms that have never been built, then use them to think about light, texture and the distance between people.

Five quiet seats gather around a pale surface. Three lamps make small islands of light. The darker wall lets the objects carry the story.

A glass of light
Amber rests on cool stone. A thin edge catches the window; the rest almost disappears. This chapter looks at a vessel as a small piece of architecture.
The drawing is made from original geometry. It is a study of transparency, not a photograph of a drink you can order.

Specks in the stone make a rough field. The glass answers with a clear line, a narrow stem and a circle of reflected light.

Between cloth and timber
Thread is the line we follow from one surface to another. It can be a seam, a stem, the edge of a glass or the grain of a board.
We keep this notebook small. The entrance has three paths and no promise to sell you an experience. Each path is a different way to look at the same imagined table.
