Philosophy

Ordinary things hold more than one color. A pale bowl can look blue beside warm wood, then green in the soft light of a window.

We start with a small observation. One line, one surface, one change in light. The drawing does not need to explain everything at once.

Chroma Field is an invented studio journal. Its rooms and objects are illustrations, made to explore how material and color sit together.

Working with color

Warm and cool do not need to compete. A peach wall leaves room for a blue chair. A pink sheet can hold the quiet green of a leaf.

Our ceramic drawing puts four uneven forms inside a pale circle. Each shape has its own weight, but the bowl gives them a shared center.

These are visual studies, not dishes or products to buy. The gallery lets you move between a room, a vessel and a sheet of paper.

The small details

A hanging light, a folded edge, a stem that bends. Small details give the eye a place to pause.

Look for the parts that do not line up perfectly. A drawing can be precise without being stiff. We leave a little space around each form.

The drawn materials

Walnut-colored wall panels, pale table, blue fabric, cloudy glass and a small plant. All are invented forms.

Illustrated ceramic bowl with colored forms

Color in clay

Four uneven colored forms inside a pale ceramic circle.

The drawn materials

The shapes are abstract solids, not a real dish. The bowl has no product listing or price.
